Women In Philanthropy

Women in Philanthropy and Leadership for Coastal Carolina University (WIPL) was created to transform the lives of students at Coastal Carolina University and to make a difference in the greater community by leveraging the impact of women and their donations of time, talent and resources.

WIPL was formed in 2007 under the leadership of Coastal Carolina University First Lady Terri DeCenzo with faculty and staff and some of the area’s leading philanthropists and business professionals, all of whom were committed to supporting the University through collective giving and annual donations.

WIPL brings together women of diverse talents and experiences who share the ambition of building a better CCU and a better community. More than an organization, WIPL is a movement – a gathering of like-minded individuals who join their collective talents and resources to make a positive impact on the University and its extraordinary scholars. WIPL is motivating and inspiring women as leaders, donors and advocates while simultaneously transforming women’s giving for greater impact.
