Whaling Wall by Wyland
An eye-catching local landmark sure to garner the attention of all, the Myrtle Beach Convention Center (MBCC)'s "Whaling Wall" mural is located outside of the north wall in perfect view for anyone coming in from the main parking lot to see. Created in 1993 by the internationally renowned artist Robert Wyland, this mural is one of one hundred that he painted as a part of his quest to capture the raw power and beauty of marine life across the globe. Featuring bottlenose dolphins, loggerhead turtles, and the Right Whale, the beloved mural was recently revitalized preserved by a local artist Tommy Simpson.
