Cindy Chauvie
Office Assistant
Contact CindyCindy Chauvie, the convention center's detailed and down-to-earth Office Assistant, was hired in February 2021. For visitors to the convention center, she is the friendly face that greets you in the Administrative Office and the voice on the other end of inbound phone calls. Cindy’s knowledge and organizational skills allow her to answer questions ranging from event dates and times, admission fees, parking questions, and a host of other inquiries. However, her "First in Service" relationship with the public does not stop there. Cindy keeps facility guests informed of event happenings by updating MBCC's social media platforms, answering questions on the convention center's Facebook page, as well as responding to reviews on Google My Business. All while being responsible for updating the facility's event monitors and outdoor digital signage, uploading accurate information to MBCC's events website, providing engineering with upcoming events utility requests, updating the sales team travel budget, working with human resources and MBCC's divisions to complete all hiring processes, and performs audits to ensure contracts and event postings are accurate. In addition, she has a gratifying career outside the convention center. Being certified for over a decade, Cindy practices holistic and crystal healing, active meditation, and sound therapy. She is also certified as a Reiki Master Teacher.
Cindy grew up in LA County and her adventurous spirit led her to travel and live all over the United States and in Mexico. As a fun fact...she attended Hawthorne High School, which happens to be the same school the Beach Boys went to. During the weekend, you will find Cindy enjoying the outdoors. If you spot a bonfire, it could be her camping and cooking tasty open flame meals. Her hobbies include growing microgreens and herbs, traveling, and abstract and flo art. While art fuels her creative passion and the outdoors keeps her grounded, Cindy also finds joy in exploring Victorian Gothic Culture and trying new foods. As if the above doesn't keep her busy enough, she is designing and building a tiny house for herself and the love of her life - Kiya...her Siamese cat.
